At Standtall Africa Initiative (STAi), our programs are not just activities—they are structured, measurable interventions designed to restore reading culture, empower educators, strengthen institutions, and position Africa for sustainable development. Through a 10-Year Effective Reading and Research Campaign, we are building a continent where knowledge drives leadership, innovation, and national progress.

Here’s how our programs are making that vision a reality.

Reviving Reading Culture Across Africa

At the heart of STAi is a bold literacy movement. Through initiatives such as RABBAN (Read A Book, Build A Nation), we are establishing and refurbishing libraries, distributing millions of textbooks, and equipping schools with the resources needed to foster a lifelong reading habit.

Our Young Readers Competition, Students’ Face of Reading, Teachers’ Face of Reading, and Lecturers’ Face of Reading programs recognize and reward excellence in reading and research across all levels of education. These initiatives do more than celebrate performance—they build confidence, leadership capacity, and intellectual discipline.

Through Nigeria Reads, we extend this impact beyond classrooms, engaging citizens across generations in knowledge-driven competitions that encourage critical thinking and national development dialogue.

Empowering Educators Through AFFiT

Teachers are the custodians of the future. That is why the African Forum for Innovative Teachers (AFFiT) was established as a prestigious platform to identify, celebrate, train, and support outstanding educators across Africa.

Through AFFiT, teachers gain access to scholarships, grants, mentorship, wellness programs, cooperative financing, career placement services, and certified professional development training. The AFFiT Development Academy organizes conferences, seminars, and global partnership workshops that expose educators to innovative methodologies and international best practices.

By investing in teachers, we improve classrooms. And by improving classrooms, we transform communities.

Funding Research That Shapes Policy and Progress

Our commitment to research is institutionalized through the STAi Research Centres, which focus on key development areas including peace studies, traditional leadership, entrepreneurship, national security, climate protection, and technological innovation.

These centres serve as think tanks, producing evidence-based insights and practical solutions to Africa’s most pressing challenges. Through research grants and academic partnerships, we ensure that policy and national development strategies are guided by knowledge, not guesswork.

Scholarships That Open Doors

Education should never be limited by financial barriers. Through our structured scholarship schemes, STAi supports thousands of primary school pupils, secondary school students, undergraduates, and educators pursuing advanced degrees.

These scholarships are not simply financial aid—they are long-term investments in leadership, innovation, and social transformation.

Peace, Leadership, and Economic Advancement

Beyond literacy and education, STAi convenes high-level platforms that address national and continental priorities. The International Peace, Unity, and Nation-Building Conference brings together security agencies, policymakers, and thought leaders to develop proactive solutions for stability and cooperation.

Similarly, our Annual International Economic Summit creates a strategic space for dialogue, trade collaboration, and policy innovation to strengthen Africa’s economic competitiveness on the global stage.

Through these platforms, STAi bridges education, governance, security, and economic development—recognizing that sustainable progress requires integrated solutions.

Building a Knowledge-Driven Future

Every program under Standtall Africa Initiative is interconnected. Reading fuels research. Research informs leadership. Leadership drives innovation. Innovation strengthens nations.

Our mission is clear: to cultivate a literate, research-driven, leadership-oriented Africa where individuals, institutions, and communities thrive.

And this is only the beginning.
