RABBAN – Read A Book, Build A Nation (Library Development Project)

RABBAN is one of Africa’s most ambitious literacy infrastructure projects. Designed to establish 15,000 functional libraries across African countries, the initiative equips schools with books, shelves, and structured reading materials to foster a strong reading and research culture. In its first phase, over 170 libraries were refurbished and upgraded with millions of textbooks and reference materials, revitalizing learning environments in primary, secondary, and tertiary institutions. Nigeria Reads – National Literacy & Intellectual Engagement Initiative

Nigeria Reads is a nationwide knowledge-driven competition and civic engagement platform aimed at empowering Nigerians between ages 10 and 80 to contribute ideas and solutions for national development. The initiative promotes intellectual discourse, critical thinking, and citizen participation in governance, security, economic reform, and nation-building. Through Nigeria Reads, over 20 million books have been distributed to public institutions and communities nationwide.

STAi Teachers Training Program

The STAi Teachers Training Program is a continent-wide educator capacity-building initiative designed to train between 7,000 and 10,000 teachers annually in pedagogy, leadership, reading culture promotion, and classroom innovation. In its first five years, the program trained and empowered over 40,000 educators, equipping them with professional tools and development resources. African Forum for Innovative Teachers (AFFiT)

The African Forum for Innovative Teachers (AFFiT) is a premier educator recognition, scholarship, mentorship, and professional development platform in Africa. AFFiT celebrates exceptional teachers and supports them through structured programs that enhance career advancement, financial stability, and classroom innovation. Major AFFiT Projects Include: AFFiT Induction Initiative A large-scale induction scheme designed to induct thousands of credible educators annually as Fellows and members. AFFiT Scholarship Schemes Comprehensive scholarship programs supporting: Higher education degrees (B.Ed., PGDE, M.Ed., Ph.D.) Teacher certification and licensing International exchange programs Digital literacy and technology integration Rural and female educator scholarships AFFiT Mentorship Program A structured mentorship platform pairing early-career educators with experienced professionals for career development and knowledge exchange. Students & Youth Development Projects

STAi Young Readers Competition A reading assessment and scholarship program for primary and secondary school students designed to test comprehension, build confidence, and reward academic excellence. Students’ Face of Reading Recognizes outstanding undergraduates and provides scholarships, textbooks, and academic excursions. Young Authors & Writers Award A literary development initiative that discovers, nurtures, and rewards emerging writing talents, promoting creative expression and national literary growth. Over 4,000 students have benefited from scholarship components under this initiative.

Lecturers & Research Advancement Projects

The Readers’ Award Encourages lecturers in tertiary institutions to align their research with reading culture development and national educational goals. Selected research abstracts receive mini-grants for completion. Lecturers’ Face of Reading A nationally recognized award program that identifies and rewards lecturers contributing significantly to research excellence and reading culture promotion. Winners receive substantial financial rewards and research grants. Over 200 research works have been funded through these initiatives.

The STAi Research Centres are specialized hubs addressing key African development challenges through evidence-based research. International Conferences & Strategic Summits

International Peace, Unity & Nation-Building Conference A high-level platform convening security agencies, policymakers, traditional rulers, and technocrats to address peacebuilding, governance, and national stability challenges. Annual International Economic Summit An economic development forum focused on trade, industrialization, cross-border investment, and sustainable economic growth in Africa. These summits foster policy innovation, inter-agency collaboration, and actionable solutions that strengthen institutional frameworks across Nigeria and Africa.
