Campus Readers’ Scholarship Award

The Campus Readers’ Scholarship Award programme is designed to enable undergraduates of tertiary institutions including the universities, polytechnics, colleges of education, colleges of agriculture, etc have access to study scholarship through a written scholarship examination by Standtall Africa Initiative. This program is expected to cover all tertiary institutions in the 36 states of the nation including the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.

Students are tested for their passion for reading, comprehensive ability, versatility in reading, public presentation, article writing, debates, original ideas, poetries, talent hunting etc. Forms are distributed to all faculties of each institution. Institutions then compile names of students with CGPA of 2.50 and above for the first stage of the screening to get at least 150 persons for the final stage and the best 25 students shall be chosen and cash prizes of N150, 000. 00 shall be given to each of them for their tuition fee. The beneficiaries shall enjoy the scholarship for two academic sessions.

The 2020 edition of the campus readers’ scholarship award is in honor of a man who could simply be described as a lover of youths. His concern for youth educational development is overwhelming and he has been in the forefront of the campaign for quality education for young Nigerians with many scholarship offers to Nigerians across board especially those from his state. He is Sen. Maj.Gen Muhammed Magoro (Rtd). With a track record of youth philanthropy that can hardly be ignored. Standtall Africa Initiative deemed it fit to organize this year edition of the event in his honor.

This year edition of the campus readers’ scholarship award shall therefore be called Maj. Gen. Muhammed Magoro Campus Readers’ Scholarship Award. The different institutions across the nation are already collecting the names of the qualified students for the scholarship examination after which the date for the examination shall be fixed and all the participating institutions shall be notified accordingly. The pass mark for the scholarship examination is 70% and all participants that beats the pass mark shall be selected and offered the scholarship immediately.
